How to relax: a parents guide
Jayne Nottage
Apologies if you were hoping for 10 steps on how to relax as a parent.....I only have 1.
1. Drop the kiddies at Nanna and Grandads!
My husband and I had the amazing blessing of a whole 48 hours child free last weekend courtesy of my wonderful parents! I cannot remember when we had time away for just us. It was the most relaxing weekend. We couldn't have asked for more. The weather was glorious and the place we stayed was delightfully rural.
Hope you enjoy a few of my snaps.....
We started our weekend with a sunny stroll around Winchester.
The tea and coffee was endless and I think I read all of the last 12 editions of 'Delicious', 'Ideal Homes' and 'Gardeners worlds' on this balcony.
Our neighbours were taking it easy too.
We made the most of being able to have a long ramble in the Country Park
Somehow being woken up by this jolly little fella didn't seem so tiring as the normal 6.30-7am wake up call. He didn't require me to make him breakfast containing three different types of cereal, in an Ana and Elsa bowl with a Minnie Mouse spoon!
A view of the barn.
