A morning with Sinead and Louie
Jayne Nottage
I have been blessed to know the lovely Sinead and Louie through another hat that I wear. I help run a mother and toddler group on a Friday (aptly named Coffee&Chaos) and Sinead starting coming along with her, at the time rather little, son Louie. Sinead has since left East Kent but got in contact as she wanted to capture some special Mother and Son memories.
Sinead traveled down for the day and we chose a lovely river walk in Canterbury. Sinead just allowed Louie the freedom to wander around and enjoy being out and about on a bright sunny day. Louie loved picking flowers, rolling around in the grass, blowing/eating dandelions, and of course all while looking for the Gruffalo (who has knobbly knees and turned out toes and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose if you didn’t know!).
I love how a mixture of documentary and lifestyle photography can not only show the special relationship that Sinead and Louie have but also how it captures a fun and true snap shot in time, including a pit stop nappy change in the front seat of a car, a poo check and a quick weed snack! I didn't at any point ask them to sit in a certain position or tilt their heads a certain way but rather let them be their wonderful Mum and Son self to then capture their precious memories.
I really hope you enjoy looking at a few of my favourites....
